The fourth trailer for the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin anime remake was unveiled recently, and it features the show's ending theme, "Kissaki" by Reol.
As previously reported, the new anime is a brand new adaptation of the manga with brand new cast and staff compared to the original 90s anime and OVAs. The series will star Soma Saito (Moriarty the Patriot) as Kenshin Himura, Rie Takahashi (Fate/Grand Order) as Kaoru Kamiya, Taku Yashiro (Tiger Mask W) as Sanosuke Sagara, Makoto Koichi (I'm standing on 1,000,000 lives.) as Yahiko Myojin, Yuma Uchida (Jujutsu Kaisen, Ultraman Taiga) as Shinomori Aoshi, and Saori Onishi (Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma) as Takani Megumi.
In addition, it was reported that LINDEN FILMS (Initial D Legend 1, Berserk) will animate the new series. Hideyo Yamamoto (Cells at Work! Code Black) will direct the anime with scripts written by Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die). Terumi Nishii (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) will serve as character designer, and Yu Takami (Library Wars) will compose the show's music.
The new Rurouni Kenshin anime adaptation is set to premiere this July 7th on Fuji TV's Noitamina block at 12:55am JST. Lastly, the series will get advance screenings in Japan, the United States, France, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and South Korea. Details for said screenings outside of Japan will be revealed in a later date.
