The official Rurouni Kenshin anime Twitter account has unveiled a new poster for the upcoming remake, revealing that the series will premiere this July.
As previously reported, the new anime is a brand new adaptation of the manga with brand new cast and staff, and will air on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. The series will star Soma Saito (Moriarty the Patriot) as Kenshin Himura, Rie Takahashi (Fate/Grand Order) as Kaoru Kamiya, Taku Yashiro (Tiger Mask W) as Sanosuke Sagara, and Makoto Koichi (I'm standing on 1,000,000 lives.) as Yahiko Myojin.
Lastly, it was reported that LINDEN FILMS (Initial D Legend 1, Berserk) will animate the new series. In addition, Hideyo Yamamoto (Cells at Work! Code Black) will direct the anime with scripts written by Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die). Terumi Nishii (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) will serve as character designer, and Yu Takami (Library Wars) will compose the show's music.
