Lastly, it was reported that LINDEN FILMS (Initial D Legend 1, Berserk) will animate the new series. In addition, Hideyo Yamamoto (Cells at Work! Code Black) will direct the anime with scripts written by Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die). Terumi Nishii (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) will serve as character designer, and Yu Takami (Library Wars) will compose the show's music.
The new Rurouni Kenshin anime adaptation is set to premiere this July on Fuji TV's Noitamina block. The new trailer confirmed that the anime will adapt at least the Tokyo Arc, which covers chapters 1-47 of the manga and episodes 1-24 of the 90s anime.
