Netflix's Yasuke Anime's Japanese Dub Trailer Revealed

Netflix Japan posted the Japanese dub trailer for the upcoming Yasuke anime. The series will have a total of 6 episodes. 

The show's cast are: Jun Soejima (Kamen Rider Zero-One) as Yasuke, Takehiro Hira (The Floating Castle) as Nobunaga Oda, Kiko Tamura as Saki, Yoshiko Sakakibara (Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ) as Yami no Daimyо̄, Fusako Urabe (Asako I & II) as Natsumaru, Shigeru Ushiyama (One Piece) as Abraham, Yu Kamio (Kamen Rider OOO) as Morisuke, Eri Kitamura (Puella Magi Madoka Magica) as Ishikawa, Kenji Kitamura (Brave Beats) as Achо̄ja, Shunsuke Kubozuka (Yo-Yo Girl Cop) as Hart, Hiroki Nanami (Nobunaga The Fool) as Nikiita, and Rie Tanaka (Mobile Suit Gundam SEED) as Ichika.

The series takes place in a war-torn feudal era Japan filled with mechs and magic. It follows the greatest ronin never known as he struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past of violence. But when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval between warring daimyo, he must take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is the target of dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords. This is the story of Yasuke, the first African samurai who once served the legendary Oda Nobunaga.

The series is created by LeSean Thomas (Cannon Busters, The Boondocks) who will also serve as the show's director and executive producer, with studio MAPPA (Yuri!! on Ice, Kakegurui) animating the series. The series will feature music by Flying Lotus (Carole and Tuesday, Blade Runner: Black Out 2022) who will also serve as executive producer, and Yasuke will be voiced by actor Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta) in the English dub.

The Yasuke anime is set for an April 29th worldwide release on Netflix.
