Square Enix announced at this week's Nintendo Direct the Final Fantasy Resonance game.

The Final Fantasy franchise returns to its turn-based combat RPG roots as this is the first game in the franchise in HD-2D with pixel art sprites. Travel with companions bound by fate and call on Visions, echoes of beloved Final Fantasy characters, to aid you in battle to uncover the truth behind a force that threatens to bring everything to ruin. 

Final Fantasy Resonance is set for an October 22nd release for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Bandai Namco announced at this week's Nintendo Direct the One Piece: Grand Gourmet game.

In the game, the Straw Hat Crew opens a charming new restaurant called Baratie Number Two. Grow your small ship into the greatest floating restaurant on the ocean in this management sim game! Collect ingredients, dream up new dishes, and decorate the an irresistible interior as you choose from over 200 furniture, building, and decorative items to make your restaurant uniquely yours! 

Have familiar One Piece characters coming back for more as over 400 One Piece characters will appear in this game. They will appear as staff and customers, and you can experience character events and special character interactions that can't be found anywhere else. As you expand your restaurant, you'll gain more loyal customers and become the talk of the culinary seas.

One Piece: Grand Gourmet is set for an October 23rd release for the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, App Store for Apple devices, and Google Play for Android devices.

​Nintendo revealed at this week's Nintendo Direct new details for the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave game.

The Dagdan Empire has prospered under the rule of gods for 1,500 years. The capital, Dagsion, plays host to the Heroic Games, the winner of which is granted one wish. Powerful fighters from across the land have gathered to participate. The game revolves around four heroes, namely: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda. Guide whichever character you choose to victory in the Heroic Games, as they weave their own unique tale.

Between matches, you can strengthen your forces in different ways. Hone your techniques at the training grounds, recruit new allies or travel beyond Dagsion’s walls to gain experience in battles or dungeons.

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is set for a September 17th release, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.

​Nintendo announced at this week's Nintendo Direct the next entry of the Xenoblade series, titled Xenoblade Genesis.

​Billed as a new beginning for the Xenoblade series, Xenoblade Genesis is set for a 2027 release, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. More details about the game will be revealed in a later date. 

But that's not the only thing that was announced in the Nintendo Direct for the Xenoblade series, as the three Xenoblade Chronicles games will soon get a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition release! This release not only enhances the three games graphics and resolution, but it also has features not available in the previous Nintendo Switch versions!

The digital version and the upgrade pack for the Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition is now available. A physical version of the game will be available on July 30th. The digital version and the upgrade pack for the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available on July 30th, and the physical version on October 1st. Finally, the digital version and the upgrade pack for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition will be available on December 3rd.

​Nintendo announced at yesterday's Nintendo Direct the The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for the Nintendo Switch 2.

​A remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game of the same name, details about this remake are yet to be revealed. The only thing confirmed about it thus far is that the game is set for a release this year.

GKIDS Films has unveiled the official teaser trailer, as well as the lead cast for the upcoming live-action Look Back film.

The film will star Natsuki Deguchi (The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House) and Aju Makita (Shoplifters) as Fujino and Kyomoto respectively, while Furi Nanase and Rokka Okada will play the child versions of Fujino and Kyomoto respectively. In addition, two new posters for the film was also revealed.

Based on the Tatsuki Fujimoto manga of the same name, it follows Fujino, a fourth grader who draws a manga strip for the school newspaper. Her art makes her the star of the class, but one day she's told that Kyomoto, a student who refuses to come to school, would also like to submit a manga for the paper.

Written, edited, and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda (Shoplifters, Monster) with music by Yuta Bando (BELLE, Kaiju No. 8), Look Back is set for a release this year.

Passion Republic Games has unveiled the official trailer for the GigaBash game's upcoming Ultraman Zero DLC.

The Son of Seven, Ultraman Zero joins the game's roster as DLC! But that's not all, the corrupt, tyrannical force of pure malice, Ultraman Belial joins as well! This DLC will be available on July 9th, and like the previous Ultraman DLC, it is not available on Mainland China due to regional restrictions and licensing agreements.

GigaBash is an arena-type fighting game, in which up to four players can choose characters called "Titans" and fight until the last player is standing. The game and this Ultraman DLC is now available for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, XBox One, XBox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. 

The new poster, theme songs, and premiere date of the Saga of Tanya the Evil II is revealed.

MYTH&ROID will once again write, arrange, and perform the show's opening theme, "Why? RED induction". In addition, Aoi Yuki, who voices Tanya Degurechaff in the anime will once again perform the show's ending theme, "Weiter! Weiter!" and has lyrics written by hotaru, and music and arrangement by Masayuki Nakano (THE SPELLBOUND/BOOM BOOM SATELLITES).

The cast of the previous season and the movie will reprise their roles in the upcoming season. In addition, Takayuki Yamamoto (My Hero Academia) will now serve as series director, replacing Yutaka Uemura. Staff from the first season returning to work in the new season include animation studio NUT, scriptwriter Kenta Ihara, and character designer and chief animation director Yuji Hosogoe.

Based on Carlo Zen and Shinobu Shinotsuki's light novel series of the same name, the series follows a salaryman who died in modern Tokyo and was reborn as an orphaned girl named Tanya Degurechaff, also known Devil of the Rhine, one of the greatest soldiers the Empire has ever seen! With her memories of her previous life still intact, she will do whatever it takes to survive in this war!

Saga of Tanya the Evil II is set to premiere on July 8th at 9:30pm JST on AT-X in Japan, and will also run on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, and TV Aichi.
