The official live-action Kingdom film website revealed a new teaser trailer for the fourth entry of the film series titled Kingdom: Return of the General.
The film will continue where the previously film left as it will continue the adaptation of the manga's Shi Ka/Zhi Xia Arc and the Battle of the Bayou, which is the first time Shin/Xin and O Ki/Wang Qi stood on the battlefield together, to fend off the invasion from the north by the mighty Cho/Zhao.
Just like the previous three films, Kento Yamazaki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable), Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze), and Kanna Hashimoto (Assassination Classroom, Bleach) will reprise their roles as Shin/Xin, Ei Sei/Yin Zheng, and Ka Ryo Ten/He Liao Diao respectively. In addition, three cast members from the second film, namely: Nana Seino (Hanbun Aoi), Hiroshi Tamaki (The Way of the Househusband), and Koichi Sato (The Fable) will reprise their roles as Kyou Kai/Qiang Lei, Sho Hei Kun/Lord Changping, and Ryo Fui/Lu Buwei.
Returning cast members from the third film include: Kataoka Ainosuke VI (Baian the Assassin, M.D.) as Fuu Ki/Feng Ji, Koji Yamamoto (Shin Ultraman) as Cho So/Zhao Zhuang, Yuki Yamada (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) as Man Goku/Wan Ji, Eri Murakawa (Kashin) as You Li/Yu Ri, and Hinako Sakurai (Marmalade Boy) as Dong Mei/To Bi. Joining the film's cast for this film are: Koji Kikkawa (Kamen Rider W) as Hou Ken/Pang Nuan and Shun Oguri (Gintama, Hana Yori Dango) as Ri Boku/Li Mu. Anne Watanabe (xxxHOLiC) reprising the important role of Shi Ka/Zhi Xia.
Director Shinsuke Sato (Gantz, Bleach) returns to direct the sequel with series creator Yasuhisa Hara and Tsutomu Kuroiwa (One Piece Film Gold) also returning to write the film's script. Kingdom: Return of the General is set for a July 12th release.
