Live-Action Kingdom Film Cast, Trailer Revealed

The staff for the live-action Kingdom film has revealed new details for the upcoming film, including the film's trailer and cast!

The upcoming film stars Kento Yamazaki (Death Note JDrama, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) as Shin/Xin, the same role he played in the manga's original live-action short. Other cast members include:

• Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Ei Sei/Yin Zheng
  
• Masami Nagasawa (Bleach, Godzilla: Final Wars) as Yo Tanwa/Yang Duan He
  
• Kanna Hashimoto (Assassination Classroom, Bleach) as Ka Ryo Ten/He Liao Diao
  
• Takao Osawa (Goemon, Wolf Children) as O Ki/Wang Qi
  
• Kanata Hongo (Gantz, Attack on Titan) as Sei Kyo/Cheng Jiao
  
• Shinnosuke Mitsushima (Blade of the Immortal) as Heki/Bi
  
• Masahiro Takashima (Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla II) as Sho Bun Kun/Chang Wen Jun
  
• Jun Kaname (Kamen Rider Agito) as To/Teng

In addition, seen above is a behind-the-scenes video for said film. Filming started earlier this year in April in China. 

Based on Yasuhisa Hara's historical manga of the same name, the series follows a slave boy named Xin and his dream of becoming a great general for the state of Qin. Xin helps Ying Zheng, the young Qin king who shares his desire to unify China, rise to power within the state. Xin does all he can to become a superior commander of an army capable of defeating the Seven Warring States.

Produced by Sony Pictures Japan and directed by Shinsuke Sato (Gantz, Bleach), Kingdom is set for an April 19, 2019 release.
