The official Devilman Crybaby anime website streamed the a new "special movie" of the upcoming anime. The video features the show's opening theme "Devilman no Uta" by Avu-chan, who will also voice Devil King Zenon in the show.
In addition, Denki Groove will also perform the show's theme song "MAN HUMAN" while Takkyuu to Tabibito will perform the special ending theme song "Konya Dake" for the show's 9th episode.
Based on Go Nagai's manga of the same name, the series commemorates the 50th anniversary of Go Nagai's career. The anime aims to adapt this "eternal masterpiece" in its entirety. In the series, Akira Fudo learns from his best friend, Ryo Asuka that an ancient race of demons has returned to take over the world. The only way to stop them is to incorporate their supernatural powers, and suggests that he unite with a demon himself. Akira succeeds and becomes Devilman, a being that possesses both the powers of a demon and the sould of a human. The battle of Devilman and Akira Fudo begins.
