Air Agency announced that its founder and voice actor Keiji Fujiwara has passed away. He was 55.
The prolific voice actor passed away last April 12th due to cancer. His family held a private wake and funeral. It is unknown if the voice actor will get a public funeral. Fujiwara had a hiatus from voice acting back in August 2016 to undergo medical treatment, but he gradually returned to work in 2017.
To most fans, he is best known for his role as Fullmetal Alchemist's Maes Hughes, 2011 Hunter x Hunter's Leorio, Crayon Shin-chan's Hiroshi Nohara, Final Fantasy VII's Reno, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Esidisi, Baccano!'s Land Russo, Blue Exorcist's Shiro Fujimoto, Gundam 00's Ali al-Saachez, Death Note's Shuichi Aizawa, Hajime No Ippo's Tatsuya Kimura, and many more.
In addition, he is the official Japanese voice actor of Robert Downey, Jr. since 2008 and to that extent, is the voice of Tony Stark/Iron Man in various projects such as anime and video games. Lastly, for tokusatsu fans, he is the voice of Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters' Cheeda Nick and even appeared in Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Returns vs. Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters as a random backpacker. He will later return to the Super Sentai Series as Jackpot Striker in Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger en film.
