Mill Creek Entertainment announced that Ultraman Taiga will get a North American Blu-ray release!
Ultraman Taiga is the 31st overall entry of the Ultraman franchise and the first Reiwa Ultraman series. The series ran for 25 episodes and in the series, aliens are emigrating to Earth secretly, and only a few people knew about this truth. Hiroyuki Kudo works for E.G.I.S. (Enterprise of Guard and Investigation Service), a private organization dealing with alien incidents and trying to keep the peace. Unknown to Hiroyuki, the Ultra Hero Ultraman Taiga’s particles of light are hidden within his body. A new story begins when Ultraman Taiga awakens from Hiroyuki’s body!
But that's not all, as the release will also include its movie, Ultraman Taiga the Movie: New Generation Climax. The film takes place six months after the show's finale in which Hiroyuki has become the target of an unidentified opponent, forcing other members of the New Generation Heroes to appear one after another and together challenge the power of a great darkness. In addition, Taiga's father, Ultraman Taro, has come to Earth but attacked his own son under mysterious circumstances.
Ultraman Taiga: The Complete Series Blu-ray cost US$39.99, and is set for a July 30th release. The series and film will also be available digitally as well. But that's not all as this is not the end of Mill Creek's involvement with the Ultraman series as they announced the expansion and extension of their current partnership with Tsuburaya in regards to Ultraman's home video and digital releases, which now include titles that weren't released in the United States in said formats. This is the first of said expanded deal.
