It was announced that Garage Hero's independent tokusatsu film, Strega won awards from The Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival (TYFIFF).
The film won Best Action Film and Best Grindhouse Film in said film festival. The film was also nominated for Audience Choice and Most Memorable Film. Aside from winning international an independent film festival, Strega will soon be screened in New York City in the upcoming Urban Action Showcase event at the AMC Empire 25 on November 29th. Garage Hero's Bueno (and possibly, Strega) will be on the red carpet on November 8th.
A sequel to Garage Hero's first project titled Gun Caliber, Strega is a Japanese tokusatsu film produced, directed, and starred by Filipino-Canadian Bueno. In the film, Japanese-Filipino roughneck Soma Kusanagi becomes a test subject for a new power suit and becomes a new hero known as Strega.
Strega is currently being screened in Japan and is hailed by Japanese viewers as "Kamen Rider meets Deapool". Plans for further screenings are scheduled next year. For current screening details, you can visit the official Garage Hero website.
