Nintendo announced at today's Nintendo Direct that Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Nintendo Switch!
The teaser trailer for the game revealed that Splatoon's Inklings will be playable in the game and confirmed that franchise mainstays, Super Mario's Mario and The Legend of Zelda's Link, in his Breath of the Wild appearance will be playable as well. This is the first time since Super Smash Bros. Brawl that Link got a new design in the game.
Lastly, the official website has confirmed that this is a new entry to the franchise, not a enhanced port of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U as this new entry was labeled "title pending", instead of directly linking to the 3DS/Wii U's page. Super Smash Bros. is coming to the Nintendo Switch this 2018.
