The Pokémon Company announced that the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games will get remakes for the Nintendo Switch called Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl!
Return to the Sinnoh region as the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl story has been faithfully reproduced, and the sense of scale in the originals' towns and routes has been carefully preserved. The remakes also includes easy to understand and player friendly conveniences of the modern Pokémon series, plus up close and personal Pokémon battle scenes.
Unlike past Pokémon video game remakes, which were developed by Game Freak, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl are developed by ILCA (Yakuza 0, Dragon Quest XI). This isn't the first time the company was involved with Pokémon as they also developed Pokémon Home. The game is directed by ILCA's Yuichi Ueda and original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl director Junichi Masuda.
