It was reported that Nintendo will acquire Dynamo Pictures, Inc., a CG animation studio, and once said deal closes, it will be renamed into Nintendo Pictures Co., a new subsidiary of the company.
This deal was revealed via Japanese regulatory filings, and according to Nintendo, this new subsidiary will focus on developing visual content utilizing Nintendo IP. This isn't the first time Dynamo Pictures was involved in working on Nintendo properties as the company previously animated the PIKMIN Short Movies.
Outside of Nintendo properties, they worked in other projects such as: Final Fantasy XIII-2, Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV, Garo: Crimson Moon, Yuri on Ice, Earwig and the Witch, Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, and did motion capture work for: Persona 5, Resident Evil: Vendetta, Death Stranding, and Monster Hunter World.
