Marvel and Capcom announced at this year's PlayStation Experience event the next installment of the popular Marvel vs. Capcom franchise!
Titled "Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite", the 6th installment of the franchise marks the return to the 2 vs. 2 format first seen in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, which was first released back in 1996. In addition, the trailer also unveils the first four playable characters in the game.
The trailer confirms that Marvel's Iron Man and Captain Marvel and Capcom's Ryu and Mega Man X are playable, and the return of the Infinite Gems, now known as Infinite Stones in the gameplay. The last time the Infinite Stones made an impact in the game was in the Marvel Super Heroes fighting game.
In addition, the game will feature a new original story, single player modes including Training, Mission, and Arcade modes, and lastly, a vast multiplayer content, including online modes, ranked and casual matches, global leaderboards, and more.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is coming to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in late 2017.
