A member of the Japan Cartoonists Association, he made his debut as a manga artist in 1956 with the Karakuri Yashiki no Himitsu story, but he is best known to most tokusatsu fans for his work in manga adaptations of various Ultraman series, namely his adaptations of Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Leo, and Ultraman 80. Aside from Ultraman, he also drew adaptations of other tokusatsu properties, which includes Spectreman, Super Giant, National Kid, Godzilla, and many others.
