It was reported that manga creator Daiji Kazumine has passed away last November 27th. He was 84 years old.
Kazumine passed away due to cerebral hemorrhage and lobar pneumonia. His family held a private funeral.
A member of the Japan Cartoonists Association, he made his debut as a manga artist in 1956 with the Karakuri Yashiki no Himitsu story, but he is best known to most tokusatsu fans for his work in manga adaptations of various Ultraman series, namely his adaptations of Ultraman, Ultraseven, Ultraman Leo, and Ultraman 80. Aside from Ultraman, he also drew adaptations of other tokusatsu properties, which includes Spectreman, Super Giant, National Kid, Godzilla, and many others.
