The official Lupin the Third: Part 6 anime website posted the second official trailer for the upcoming series as well as announced a new voice actor for Jigen.
It was announced that veteran voice actor Kiyoshi Kobayashi, who has been Jigen's voice actor since the original 1969's Lupin the Third: Pilot Film is retiring from the Daisuke Jigen role. His last appearance as the character will be on Part 6's episode 0 titled "Jidai", which will air on October 6th. He played the character for 52 years.
Replacing him will be Akio Ohtsuka (Black Jack, Ghost in the Shell), who will voice the character in the remaining episodes of Part 6 and likely beyond. Part 6 will be the first Lupin the Third series with no main cast members from Lupin the Third: Part 1.

Celebrating the franchise's 50th anniversary, Lupin III faces Sherlock Holmes as Holmes' longtime partner, Dr. Warson is murdered, none other than Lupin tops the suspects list. With Holmes fast closing in, Lupin must prove his innocence and bring a shadowy organization called The Raven to heel if he wants to live to steal another day.
In addition, Part 6 will feature guest writers including director Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell), veteran scriptwriter Masaki Tsuji (Astro Boy), popular mystery novelist Taku Ashibe (Murder in the Red Chamber), adventure & sci-fi novelist Akio Higuchi (Zone), and mystery & suspense novelist Kanae Minato (Confession).
The series will be once again animated by TMS Entertainment, and will be directed by Eiji Suganama (Lupin III: Prison of the Past). The series will be written by Takahiro Ōkura (Lupin the Third: Part 5), with character designs by Hiroki Marufuji (Lupin III: Goodbye Partner), and music by long time Lupin III composer Yuji Ohno.
