The official live-action Kyou Kara Ore Wa!! drama website announced that the series will get a drama special this summer.
The drama special will focus on the character Katsutoshi Imai, played by Taiga Nakano (Tokyo Sunrise). In addition, the upcoming film's poster was also revealed. The poster features the film's stars Kento Kaku (Nippon Noir) and Kentaro Ito (Sagrada Reset) as Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Ito respectively. The poster also features the caption, "Ito's hair is interrupting" on the left side of the poster, and "Shut up and suck it up" on the right side of the poster.
The original series centers on Takashi Mitsuhashi, a sly and blond delinquent high school student who holds a "Whatever I do, I'll win!" attitude. He forms a duo with Shinji Ito, another high school student who is serious and dutiful with a strong sense of justice.
Yuichi Fukuda (Hero Yoshihiko, Gintama) returns to direct the movie, which is set for a July 17, 2020 release in Japan.
