Kento Kaku (Chihayafuru Part 3) and Kentaro Ito (Sagrada Reset) returns to reprise their roles as Takashi Mitsuhashi and Shinji Ito respectively. In addition, their respective love interests, namely Nana Seino (Tokyo Tribe) and Kanna Hashimoto (Kaguya-sama: Love Is War) will also reprise their roles as Riko Akasaki and Kyoko Hayakawa respectively. That being said, most of the cast members from the original TV series will reprise their respective roles in the movie.
The original series centers on Takashi Mitsuhashi, a sly and blond delinquent high school student who holds a "Whatever I do, I'll win!" attitude. He forms a duo with Shinji Ito, another high school student who is serious and dutiful with a strong sense of justice.
