Actor Yusuke Tomoi, best known as a member of the music group Jyunretsu and to tokusatsu fans as Ryou Ashihara/Kamen Rider Gills from Kamen Rider Agito announced that he will retire from the entertainment industry.
This announcement was made after news that he assaulted his then girlfriend surfaced. In his now deleted blog post, which was reposted on Yahoo! Japan, Tomoi revealed details about the incident. He stated that he "no doubt" attacked her. His girlfriend was pregnant at the time and miscarried, but he denied that he was the cause of it.
In that same blog post, he revealed that he obtained large amounts of money from her, which he would use for gambling. The actor also faced increasing debts of over 30 million yen due to horse racing gambling. He also detailed his infidelity and that includes meeting with married women.
Tomoi held a new conference as said news will be published in a weekly magazine, which is set to be published on January 17th. He talked about the news and stated that his behavior was unforgivable and that he'll take time to think over his actions and improve himself in the future. He also admitted that he became too anxious during an argument and found himself too difficult to restrain himself from resorting to physical violence.
