Viz Media has revealed details about the upcoming Inuyasha sequel anime series, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon. This series will follow the daugthers of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha.
In the series, the half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel, transporting her to present day Japan, in which she was raised by Kagome's brother, Sota and his family.
10 years later, the tunnel connecting the two eras reopened, allowing Towa to reunite with her sister, who is now working as a Demon Slayer for Kohaku, Sango's younger brother. Much to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, these three women travel between the two era on an adventure to regain their missing past.
Details such as if this anime series will be a movie or a new TV series is yet to be announced.
