The production of the series started in New Zealand back in 2002 with Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Since then, it has brought in more than $340 million to the local economy, as well as provide a pathway for local actors and crew to get into the industry. Members of the New Zealand's film industry believe that it could be connected to New Zealand's film tax rebate, which is currently at 20%, with an extra 5% if the production has met a certain criteria.
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, the 30th season of the franchise, and the last one produced in New Zealand will premiere this fall on Netflix.
