It was announced that actor Yuki Yamada (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger) will have a guest role in the upcoming Crayon Shin-chan film, Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Crash! Rakuga Kingdom and Almost Four Heroes.
Yamada will play the role of Rakuga Kingdom's Minister of Defense, the man in-charge of the country's military strategy. This is the actor's first role in anime.
The upcoming film will center on a "magical crayon" and a floating kingdom called Rakuga Kingdom. This kingdom gets its energy from scribbles, but lately the scribbles are decreasing and the kingdom is in danger of collapsing. To save the country, the military start forcing humans to scribble.
Directed by Takahiko Kyogoku (Land of the Lustrous) and written by Ryo Takada (Meow Meow Japanese History), the film is set for an April 24 release in Japan.
