The official Gintama THE FINAL anime film website has unveiled a new key visual for the upcoming film as well as new details about it.
The new visual for the film features an art illustrated by series creator Hideaki Sorachi featuring 34 characters from said series along with the tagline that says, "Bye bye, Gin-san". In addition, it is confirmed that the upcoming film is based on the finale of the original manga mixed with new story elements.
Lastly, the series will inspire a new net anime special that will tie-in to the film and it will premiere in Japan exclusively via the dTV service in early 2021. Billed as "the finale, but for real this time," Gintama THE FINAL is set for a January 8, 2021 release in Japan.
