The official Garage Hero YouTube channel posted a new video, which pretty much revealed that Toei buying Strega was just an April Fool's prank.
The video also details the reasoning behind the prank, which is basically a social experiment to see if fans will just check a product if is under some big branding and how most people reacted to it.
To add up on what Bueno said in the video, I am also involved with the prank since originally, the "rumored" actor for Strega was someone from EXILE, but since EXILE is too big for Toei, I suggested to pick someone who participated in the JUNON Super Boy contest given the fact that a lot of its past contestants ended up becoming Kamen Riders and they don't have a career prior to Kamen Rider. I gave Bueno the site that has the list of past participants, he picked a random guy, and I checked if he has an entry in any English language Wiki site, and we agreed that he's the perfect guy to be our "rumored" actor.
So yeah, Strega is still under pre-production under Garage Hero, and you can read the current info about the film in this post.
