Bandai Candy posted the official images of the Shokugan Modeling Project Super Mythical Qi Beast Daimugen from the Gosei Sentai Dairanger TV series.
This item represents the oldest and strongest Mythical Qi Beast in the series, which first made its debut in the show's 31st episode. This is also the team's carrier mecha as it can store the SMP Ryuseioh and the SMP Won Tiger (both sold separately) inside its body. The item is large in volume and is 230mm in length, and is 120mm tall.
That said, it has features not seen in the DX toy, such as it now has a moveable neck, and that you can open and close its mouth. In addition, the legs can move independently on their own, allowing you to recreate a comical scene from the series. Once it stands up, Daimugen becomes the Super Mythical Qi Warrior Daimugen, which stands 210mm tall! More on this form, by pushing the cannon at the back of the arm, the fan inside will rotate and the Mugen Cannon fingers will appear at the opposite side of it!
Now for the final form, by combining components coming from SMP Dairenoh and SMP Won Tiger (both sold separately), you can form the Shichisei Gattai Heavy Armor Qi Palace, which is 250mm tall! Just like in the series, the SMP Won Tiger is stored inside of it. This is all possible thanks to the black joint part in this kit, allowing the Heavenly Qi Palace parts to neatly mount on top, and even recreate said mecha combining sequence! While in this formation, you can still open Daimugen and even have the SMP Won Tiger be in display. Won Tiger's weapons can also be stored inside Daimugen.
Lastly, the set comes with special backdrop sheets for the SMP Dairenoh and for the SMP Kiba Daioh so that you can recreate their respective finishers. This Premium Bandai web exclusive item cost 13,200 yen and is set for a February 2024 release.
