Anime Studio TRIGGER Opens Patreon Page

Studio TRIGGER, the anime studio best known for Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and the recently concluded Darling in the FRANXX announced at Anime Expo that they launched a Patreon page. 

​The studio explained on why they launched a Patreon:

​We’re a studio that strives for a global audience and values communications with our fans. If you've been in a creative business, I bet we can all relate that a simple feedback is all it takes to make our day great. However, there’s no denying at times we wished we had an extra buck or two. There’s been one too many incidents where we had to give up a merchandise idea because it was unprofitable, or simply due to lack of funding. That’s where you and Patreon comes in! With your support, we would like to forward funds into various aspect of the studio. Possibly a new line of merchandise, attending/conducting more events, or simply providing a little more to our staff.

To fans who pledged on their Patreon, fans who pledge US$1 per month will have access to a high resolution .jpg file from their live drawing sessions. Those who pledge US$5 per month, fans will have access to the .psd, .ai, and clip studio files with the layers untouched from the studio's live drawing sessions. Their Patreon's main goal is to reach US$1,500 a month. Because of this, they will start streaming live drawing sessions with one of their animators/illustrators with initial earnings being used to prepare equipment for the live streams. As of this writing, they have reached beyond said goal with a total of 2,062 patrons and earning US$6,537 per month. 

Lastly, the studio stated that they'll do their best to stream as frequent as possible, but ongoing projects will take priority first. Some of the studio's ongoing projects include SSSS.Gridman and Promare.
