Fuji Creative Corporation revealed the total episode count of the 2019 Dororo anime series.
Based on legendary manga artist Osamu Tezuka's manga of the same name, the anime is confirmed to have a total of 24 episodes. The series' "new chapter" will debut on April 8th with a new opening and ending themes.
During the Sengoku period, when the whole nation was turned into the battle fields, Kagemitsu, the Lord of Daigo, makes a pact with 12 demon statues in exchange for the prosperity and rulership of the territory he promises each of the demons a piece of his unborn child. When born this malformed limbless child is thrown away, cast into a river. Time passes and peace comes to the country. One day a young thief named Dororo encounters a ronin named Hyakkimaru. Is he man or is he demon... With limbs forged by man and arms of swords, this blind ronin carries out a violent crusade against demons.
