Tsuburaya announced that the final season of the ULTRAMAN CGI anime titled ULTRAMAN FINAL will premiere this May.
To be specific, it will premiere on May 11th worldwide, exclusively on Netflix. In addition, compared to last season's 6 episodes, the final season will have a total of 12 episodes. It was also announced that actor Hideo Ishikawa (Naruto) will voice former SSSP member and Shin Hayata's former collegue, Daisuke Arashi in said season.
Shinjiro Hayata/ULTRAMAN who saw a nightmare begins to realize he can no longer keep his abilities under control and struggles to contain them. His power is unleashed beyond his control, the city is destroyed, and people are hurt. Society begins to call ULTRAMAN a "disaster of mankind" and the hero becomes a target for condemnation. Shinjiro, alone and having lost everything, finds himself in the middle of a maelstrom of fate! In the shadows of the confusion, an ominous alien force moves in secret!
The staff from the previous two ULTRAMAN seasons will return for the final season, most notably directors Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) with Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) and Sola Digital Arts (Appleseed Alpha) producing this 3D CG anime. The series will once again feature music from Metal Gear Solid's Nobuko Toda and Kazuma Jinnouchi.
