Netflix Anime posted the main trailer for the upcoming Tiger & Bunny 2 anime, which confirmed that the sponsor logos on the hero suits are back!
The trailer features the show's opening theme song is titled "kaleido proud fiesta" by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, the same group that performed the first opening theme of the first Tiger & Bunny anime. In addition, ano will perform the show's ending theme titled "Aida". This song is also her major song debut.
Tiger & Bunny 2 will tell a new story, which takes place after the events of Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising-. Fighting for peace — and their sponsors — the odd couple of Wild Tiger and Barnaby continue to work as superheroes. But with the number of superheroes increasing around the world, how will these two veterans fare?!
The original Tiger & Bunny anime series follows heroes for hire called NEXT who wears sponsor logos while fighting crime on live television. The series primarily focused on Kotetsu T. Kaburagi/Wild Tiger (played by Hiroaki Hirata), a senior hero, and Barnaby Brooks Jr. (played by Masakazu Morita), a popular young hero with similar powers to Wild Tiger. The duo are forced to team up, shenanigans ensue.
Mitsuko Kase (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory) returns to direct the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures. The series will be once again written by Masafumi Nishida, and Masakazu Katsura returns to make the character designs. The series will have a total of 25 episodes. The first 13 episodes of Tiger & Bunny 2 is set to premiere on April 8th on the Netflix streaming service worldwide.
