The official Tiger & Bunny Twitter account announced that the series will get a second season in 2022.
The new season, simply titled Tiger & Bunny 2 will tell a new story, which takes place after the events of Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising-. Mitsuko Kase (Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory) returns to direct the anime at Bandai Namco Pictures. The series will be once again written by Masafumi Nishida, and Masakazu Katsura returns to make the character designs.
The original Tiger & Bunny anime series follows heroes for hire called NEXT who wears sponsor logos while fighting crime on live television. The series primarily focused on Kotetsu T. Kaburagi/Wild Tiger (played by Hiroaki Hirata), a senior hero, and Barnaby Brooks Jr. (played by Masakazu Morita), a popular young hero with similar powers to Wild Tiger. The duo are forced to team up, shenanigans ensue.
