To commemorate the success of Shin Ultraman, the official Toho Movies YouTube channel posted the opening scene of the film, and it will be available for a limited time!
The video is only available for 48 hours, and it started yesterday, May 27th at 8pm JST and will end on May 29th at 7:59pm JST. The opening scene depicts that Ultra Q still happened this universe, with its own unique twist, leading to the formation of the SSSP.
Giant unknown creatures known as "S-Class Species" appeared one after another across Japan, thus making their existence a commonplace. The Japanese government, who has reached their limit because conventional weapons are useless, issued the S-Class Species Suppression Protocol and formed an enforcement unit, known as the SSSP.
The members of the team are: Leader Fumio Tamura (Nishijima), Executive Strategist Shinji Kaminaga (Saitoh), Unparticle Physicist Taki Akihisa (Arioka), and Universal Biologist Yume Funaberi (Hayami). As the threat of S-Class Species worsens, a silver giant appears from beyond Earth's atmosphere. In addition, Analyst Hiroko Asami (Nagasawa) is newly appointed to the SSSP to deal with this giant and is partnered with Shinji Kaminaga. In Hiroko's report, she writes... "Ultraman (tentative name), identity unknown."
