The official Shaman King Flowers website posted the first official trailer and more cast members for the upcoming anime.
Taking place 14 years after the last Shaman Fight, the series follows Hana Asakura, the son of Yoh and Hana Asakura. He has grown up to become a lazy kid, who skips classes and gets into fights because he feels very bored of his everyday life. This changes when members of the branch Asakura family, Yohane and Luca arrive. Thus, the story of a new generation of shaman begins!
Some cast members from both Shaman King anime will return for Flowers, two of which will be playing different roles. Yoko Hikasa, who voiced Yoh Asakura will now voice his son, Hana Asakura, while Romi Park, who played Tao Ren will also voice his son, Tao Men. Also returning for the sequel series are: Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru, Nana Mizuki as Tamao Tamamura, Takumu Miyazono as Ponchi, Noriaki Kanze as Konchi, Masahiko Tanaka as Ryunosuke Umemiya, and Wataru Takagi as Tokagero. Like the 2021 anime, the series will be animated by Studio Bridge (Fairy Tail, Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS) with staff from said anime returning to work on the sequel, namely: director Takeshi Furuta (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments), script writer by Shoji Yonemura (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Smile PreCure!), prop designer Yuji Shibata, art director Jinya Kimura, color designer Natsuko Otsuka, director of photography Teruyuki Kawase, music composer Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia), sound director Masafumi Mima (Shaman King 2001), and editor Kumiko Sakamoto.
Also part of the show's staff are: character designer Mayuko Yamamoto, Oversoul designers Toshiomi Iizumi (Recorder and Randsell Mi) & Satoshi Mutsuda (Popin Q). Shaman King Flowers is set to premiere this January 2024 on TV Tokyo.
