The series will star Yoko Hikasa (K-ON!) as Yoh Asakura in the reboot, a role originally played by Yuko Sato. Other returning cast members include: Megumi Hayashibara as Anna Kyoyama, Katsuyuki Konishi as Amidamaru, and Minami Takayama as Hao Asakura. Also part of the show's cast are: Inuko Inuyama as Manta Oyamada, Romi Park as Tao Ren, Masahiko Tanaka as Ryunosuke "Wooden Sword Ryu" Umemiya, Wataru Takagi as Tokageroh, Yuji Ueda as Horohoro, Michiko Neya as Tao Jun, Nana Mizuki as Tamao Tamamura, Takehito Koyasu as Faust VIII, Yoko Soumi as Lyserg Diethel, and Motoko Kumai as Chocolove McDonell.
The anime will be animated by Studio Bridge (Fairy Tail, Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS) and it will be directed by Takeshi Furuta (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments) with scripts written by Shoji Yonemura (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Smile PreCure!). In addition, the series will feature character designs by Toshihiko Sano (Fairy Tail), music by Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!), and Masafumi Mima from the 2001 anime returns as the show's sound director. Lastly, Megumi Hayashibara will perform the show's opening and ending themes.
Shaman King is set to premiere this April 1st at 5:55pm JST on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu, and the BS TV Tokyo channels.
