Netflix announced via special video with One Piece series creator Eiichiro Oda that the live-action series will get a second season!
Using his Transponder Snail, Oda-sensei not only thanked the fans for their support with the show's first season, but also announced the second season. He also confirmed that Netflix and Tomorrow Studios will still work for the following season, and the main live-action Straw Hat Pirades led by Iñaki Godoy's Monkey D. Luffy will also reprise their respective roles.
Oda revealed that the scripts will take a while for it to be ready, and that we have to be patient. With the upcoming second season, he also confirmed that Tony Tony Chopper, the Straw Hat Pirates' doctor will soon join the crew! With that in mind, the upcoming second season will at least cover the manga's Loguetown Arc to Drum Island Arc, with a high possibility of them covering the Alabasta Arc.
