A live-action One Piece TV series from Hollywood was announced at the One Piece 20th anniversary event that happened today.
The series will be produced by Tomorrow Studios (Good Behavior, Snowpiercer), a partnership between producer Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf) and ITV Studios. Tomorrow Studios will also produce the previously announced live-action Cowboy Bebop TV series. Details such as the cast and its premiere date are yet to be announced.
Based on Eiichiro Oda's manga of the same name, One Piece follows Monkey D. Luffy and his crew whose goal is to claim the "One Piece" a treasure left behind by the legendary pirate, Gol D. Roger in the Grand Line. Along the way, Luffy confronts rival pirates and the government.
