The official Toho YouTube channel posted the third trailer for the upcoming third Kingdom film titled Kingdom: Flames of Destiny. The trailer features the film's theme song, "Gold ~Mata Au Hi Made~" by Hikaru Utada.
The film will cover the manga's Shi Ka/Zhi Xia Arc and the Battle of the Bayou, which is the first time Shin/Xin and O Ki/Wang Qi stood on the battlefield together, to fend off the invasion from the north by the mighty Cho/Zhao.
Just like the previous two films, Kento Yamazaki (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable), Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze), and Kanna Hashimoto (Assassination Classroom, Bleach) will reprise their roles as Shin/Xin, Ei Sei/Yin Zheng, and Ka Ryo Ten/He Liao Diao respectively. In addition, three cast members from the second film, namely: Nana Seino (Hanbun Aoi), Hiroshi Tamaki (The Way of the Househusband), and Koichi Sato (The Fable) will reprise their roles as Kyou Kai/Qiang Lei, Sho Hei Kun/Lord Changping, and Ryo Fui/Lu Buwei. The film also teases the return of Masami Nagasawa (Shin Kamen Rider) as Yo Tan Wa/Yang Duan He, and will feature the appearance of Anne Watanabe (xxxHOLiC) as Shi Ka/Zhi Xia.
Director Shinsuke Sato (Gantz, Bleach) returns to direct the sequel with series creator Yasuhisa Hara and Tsutomu Kuroiwa (One Piece Film Gold) also returning to write the film's script. Kingdom: Flames of Destiny is set for a July 28th release.
