It was announced at this year's Jump Festa event that the Hollywood's upcoming live-action adaptation of One Piece will start at the very beginning of the series.
It was confirmed by show's producer Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf) that the series will start at the very first arc of the series, East Blue Arc and will "broaden from there." He also stated that the series promises to create "a true One Piece" after he discussed the project with series creator Eiichiro Oda personally.
