The official Gundam YouTube channel has unveiled the English subbed trailer of the Gundam Build Divers anime, the next installment in the Gundam Build Fighters franchise.
The upcoming series introduced us to the Gunpla Battle Nexus Online (GBN), a new network game using Gunpla in a virtual cyberspace dimension. The series follows Riku Mikami (played by Yusuke Kobayashi), who after witnessing Kyoya Kujo (played by Jun Kasama) in Gunpla Battle decides to become a Diver and dive into this vast world.
In addition, the show's opening and ending themes were also announced. The show's opening theme titled "Diver's High" is performed by SKY-HI, while the ending theme, "Ashita e" (Towards Tomorrow) is performed by IRIS. As previously reported, Shinji Wada, who directed some episodes of Gundam Build Fighters and Gundam Build Fighters Try will now serve as the series' chief director with Noburu Kimura (Crush Gear Turbo) writing the show's scripts. Gundam Build Divers is set to premiere on April 3rd. The series will also get a worldwide release in spring.
