City Hunter the Movie: Shinjuku Privates Eyes Film to Feature Cat's Eye

The official City Hunter the Movie: Shinjuku Private Eyes anime website posted a new trailer for the upcoming film, revealing that the Kisugi sisters from Tsukasa Hojo's other popular series, Cat's Eye will be making an appearance in the film. 

Keiko Toda will reprise her role as Hitomi Kisugi and will play Rui Kisugi in the film, replacing the late Toshiko Fujita for the role. In addition, Chika Sakamoto will also reprise her role as Ai Kisugi in the film. 

​The film will take place in modern day Shinjuku. The cast from the previous City Hunter TV anime series will reprise their roles in the upcoming film. 

Joining the film's cast are: Marie Iitoyo (Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Hana Nochi Hare) as Ai Shindo, a model and female college student who hires Ryo as her bodyguard. This will be her first voice acting gig. Koichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Super) as Shiji Mikuni, Kaori's childhood friend, and Hochu Ohtsuka (Naruto, Kamen Rider Den-O) as Vince Englert, a mysterious arms dealer. In addition, Yoshimi Tokui (Terrace House) of the comedy duo Tutorial will have a special role in the film.

Sunrise will animate the new film with City Hunter anime director Kenji Kodama returning to work on the new project with script written by Yoishi Kato (Yo-kai Watch). The film will feature character designs by Kumiko Takahashi (Cardcaptor Sakura) and music by Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann). 

City Hunter the Movie: Shinjuku Private Eyes is set for a February 8th release.
