It was announced by Aoni Production that voice actress Toshiko Fujita passed away. She was 68 years old.
The prolific voice actress passed away due from invasive breast cancer.
To most fans, she is best known for her role as Taichi Yagami in the Digimon Adventure anime series. Aside from Digimon, she is best known for her roles as Ikkyu-san's Ikkyu, Cat's Eye's Rui Kisugi, Fist of the North Star's Mamiya, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai's Dai, Zatch Bell!'s Zofis, Chihayafuru's Taeko Miyauchi, Outlaw Star's Hilda, Silent Möbius's Rally Cheyenne, and many more. She's also the voice of "Big Mom" Charlotte Linlin in her first appearance in One Piece Episode 571. Outside of anime, she was also the Japanese voice of Jerry and Nibbles in the original Tom & Jerry series.
