For weeks now, I can't help but notice the number of fans who are complaining about their "precious" Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger becoming a Power Rangers show. They think that it ruined the spirit of Gokaiger and such. Oh come on, I don't hear people complain when when it was first announced that Shinkenger will become Power Rangers Samurai! In short, the aim of this post is to educate those fans that Power Rangers is not a Super Sentai rip-off, but a licensed adaptation.

With the release of The Amazing Spider-Man overseas, I decided to find theStan Lee interview wherein he was asked about the Japanese Spider-Man TV series produced by Toei Company, Ltd. I was able to find it as part of a torrent for the said series and here are some of the highlights.
Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger ended years ago, fans still wondered why there is a lack of Super Sentai tribute episodes for shows that exist during the 70's and the 80's. In an interview between Gokaiger producer, Takaaki Utsunomiya and tokusatsu legend Shigenori Takatera, we learn the original plans for the show's Sentai tribute episodes.
To those who are unaware, Himitsu Sentai Goranger had an English dub back then, but sadly no clips for it are available. Thanks to YouTube, I was able to stumble upon the English dub of the show.
As we all know, Stan Lee tried pitching Super Sentai in TV networks in the United States back in the 80's. More on that, an old newspaper article has surfaced online revealed that Lee tried bringing Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan in the United States back in 1982!
