As we all know, Stan Lee tried pitching Super Sentai in TV networks in the United States back in the 80's. More on that, an old newspaper article has surfaced online revealed that Lee tried bringing Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan in the United States back in 1982!
In the newspaper article, it revealed Marvel's involvement with Battle Fever J and that Miss America was suppose to lead the team but they couldn't do it in Japan. The article also revealed that Marvel also produced Denshi Sentai Denziman and Taiyou Sentai Sun Vulcan, the later being the show Stan Lee fell in love with.
According to Stan Lee, he could see Sun Vulcan would succeed in the Saturday morning block because of its full of action and its entertaining. He tried selling it to American networks such as HBO with a new voice track or take the prints, cut the Japanese actors and replace it with American actors, something that Power Rangers will do years later.
