The official Boys Over Flowers Season 2 (Hana Nochi Hare ~HanaDan~ Next Season) drama website revealed new things about the series, including the show's first trailer.
The show's theme song titled "Cinderella Girls" will be performed by King & Prince. In addition, more cast members for the series was also announced. Joining the cast is Riku Kashima (Kamen Rider W) as Jin Konoe, the student council vice president at Tenma's school. Other recently announced cast members include:
- Ruruka Kinami as Arisa Konno
- Keiko Horiōchi as Miyoko Hase
- Tet Wada (Bloody Monday) as Kazuma Hase
- Kotaro Shiga (Omote to Ura) as Kozo Kobayashi
- Kasaki Takao as Rie Hase
- Kenichi Takitō (Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno) as Iwao Kaguragi
- Momoko Kikuchi (Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew) as Yukie Edogawa
The upcoming series stars King & Prince's Sho Hirano as Haruto Kaguragi, C5's leader, the successor of Eitoku's infamous F4 group; Hana Sugisaki (Mary and the Witch's Flower) as Oto Edogawa, the daughter of a former company president, and Taishi Nakagawa (Kids on the Slope) as Tenma Hase, Oto's fiancee who is the student council president at a rival school. The original Hana Yori Dango drama originally premiered in October 2005 and was followed by a sequel, Hana Yori Dango Returns, which premiered in January 2007 and finally, the series concluded with a movie, Hana Yori Dango Final in July 2008. That being said, the drama takes place 10 years after the end of said film.
Boys Over Flowers Season 2 is set to premiere in April 17th on TBS in Japan and will air every Wednesday at 10pm.
