It was announced that Yoko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers Season 2 manga will get a live-action drama adaptation.
The series will star Hana Sugisaki (Mary and the Witch's Flower) as Oto Edogawa, the daughter of a former company president while Taishi Nakagawa (Kids on the Slope) as Tenma Hase, Oto's fiancee who is the student council president at a rival school. Also part of the show's cast is King & Prince's Sho Hirano as Haruto Kaguragi, the leader of C5 or Correct 5, the successor of Eitoku's infamous F4 group.
The original Hana Yori Dango drama originally premiered in October 2005 and was followed by a sequel, Hana Yori Dango Returns, which premiered in January 2007 and finally, the series concluded with a movie, Hana Yori Dango Final in July 2008. That being said, the drama takes place 10 years after the end of said film.
Boys Over Flowers Season 2 is set for an April premiere on TBS in Japan and will air every Wednesday at 10pm.
