It was announced that actor Nobunaga Daichi (Sakura no Oyakodonburi) will join the cast of the upcoming Ultraman Decker TV series.
He will play the role of Kanata Asumi/Ultraman Decker's friendly rival, Soma Ryumon. This 20-year-old member of GUTS-Select's Anti-Sphere unit pilots the GUTS Falcon, which was repurposed from a remote-controlled unmanned vehicle to a manually piloted one. Always calm and collected, his cool personality doesn't often let him show his emotions. A man who always assesses the situation with a critical eye, this lead to their captain to call him an "observant genius".
He he was saved by a TPU member as a boy when he was caught in a monster attack, he started to train himself, and found his calling in GUTS-Select and joined against his father's wishes. He swore to become the best to prove to his father that he made the right choice.
Written by Toshizo Nemoto (Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial) and directed by Masayoshi Takesue (Ultraman R/B), Ultraman Decker is set to premiere on July 9th on TV Tokyo and its affiliates. Lastly, more cast members for the series will be revealed every Thursday at 5pm JST.
