The Strong, the national museum of play announced the 2016 inductees of its Video Game Hall of Fame.
Inducted into this year's hall of fame are: The Legend of Zelda (1986), Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), Space Invaders (1978), Grand Theft Auto III (2001), The Oregon Trail (1971), and The Sims (2000).
These games were chosen to join the said hall of fame thanks to the advice of journalists, scholars, and other individuals familiar with the history of video games and their role in the society. That being said, this is the second batch of inductees in this hall of fame, which started last year.
