The combined 37th and 38th issue of this year's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine published the 1,000th chapter of Gosho Aoyama's Detective Conan manga.
This is the first manga in the magazine that reached 1,000 chapters. In addition, the cover of the magazine features an homage to the cover of the manga's first collected volume. The series has been running in the said magazine since 1994 and was adapted into a long-running anime series with annual anime films.
Detective Conan follows Conan Edogawa, an alias of detective Shinichi Kudo, whose body was shrunk after being poisoned at the beginning of the story. Together with detective Kogoro Mori and his daughter, Ran Conan solves difficult mysteries and cases.
