GMA's evening news program 24 Oras gave us a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Voltes V: Legacy series, as well as the confirmation of the show's total episode count.
But prior to that reveal, they reported that the show's trailer and first episode has Toei's seal of approval with long time Kamen Rider producer and Toei's Director of Planning and Production, Shinichiro Shirakura leaving a comment about said series.
GMA's Vice President for Post Production Paul Ticzon revealed that the series will have a total of 80 episodes, which is twice as long compared to the original anime. It is also revealed that over 100 artists are involved with the show's post production process who worked together in the span of over two years to make this show larger than life. Every scene is meticulously handled to give each scene a more richer and more realistic look compared to the original anime.
Directed by Mark A. Reyes (Encantadia, Resiklo) who was involved in the project for over five years now, and scripts written by Suzette Doctolero (Encantadia), the series is set to premiere this 2023 on GMA. Everything related to this production, which includes the new fictional Boazanian language, are all approved by Toei Company, Ltd. and Telesuccess Productions Inc. The series also has plans for an overseas release soon.
