Voice actor Kenichi Suzumura, best known to most tokusatsu fans as Kamen Rider Den-O's Ryutaros recently granted a special request coming from a young fan.
Suzumura hosts a weekday radio show called One Morning and in his show, he offers a special wake up call to listeners. On Tanabata (Star Festival), which happened last July 7th, he received a request coming from Honoka's mom to wake up her 5-year-old daughter. She's very difficult to wake up, which is why her request is for her to meet Ryutaros.
On that occasion, Suzumura first calmly started asking Honoka if she loves Den-O before "calling" Ryutaros over the phone. He then switched to his Ryutaros voice and said, "Honoka-chan! Morning! You'll wake up early tomorrow, right? I can't hear your answer! See ya!" He ended the call by returning to his regular voice and said that he's busy and had to take off on the DenLiner.
Though this happened for only a few seconds, fans who were listening expressed their excitement online as this is was the first time in 11 years that Ryutaros' voice was heard on the radio. Some even expressed that they can't believe that they heard Ryutaros' voice in the Reiwa era, and some were even impressed on how Suzumura communicated with the young fan.
